The basil grown for the striking vivid magenta cut flowers with incredible scent of anise and cloves! The highlight of the late summer and autumn garden with the burgundy coloured stems and vibrant green leaves adding addition appeal.

Unlike other basil varieties, they can withstand the cooling temperatures for longer and if your garden is hot or you have a mild winter, they may overwinter.

The leaves make a wonderful aromatic addition to oriental curries, stir-fries, salads and pestos with the bold spicy, peppery, warm, herbal notes. The flowers are edible and make a beautiful garnish.

Growing: Plant height bushy 75x45cm

Sow seeds in early spring under cover or direct sow when the soil has warmed up.
