Laylak Sweet Pepper
Rare Heirloom Open-pollinated
Magical Unicorn peppers! Exquisite conical peppers whose colours grade through the rainbow as they grow and mature. Greens begin streaking with lilac, purples and yellows then orange culminating in deep glossy red peppers which are intensely sweet. They often don't make it into the kitchen when I'm gardening on hot mornings.
Thankfully they are highly prolific and very early producers fruiting in as little as 60 days after transplanting.
Sowing: Pepper seeds benefit from bottom heat and germinate quickly in warm soil. Start seeds late winter to early spring in trays with moisture retentive, well-draining soil and keep damp not wet. Cover seeds with 5mm of soil. Cover seed trays to hold the humidity in. Germination occurs at 24-29C. Remove cover once sprouts are up.
Quantity: 10 seeds
