Canadian breeder Karen Olivier's classic extra large red tomato. worthy of carrying its country's name. Red tomatoes aren't my thing, but this variety changed my opinion. All round tomato enjoyment! One slice will cover a burger or cheese toastie. Although classic, there is a wonderful sweetness through the depth of flavour. I enjoyed these fresh as well as roasted. Try them in a roasted tomato salad dressed with good olive oil, pulled soft cheese and confetti of fresh herbs. Heavenly!
