Bushy plants growing up to 1.5m tall are showy and colourful beginning with green leaves mottled with red specks and darkening to beautiful burgundy with pinks, greens and cream.

Related to the mallow family, the pretty flowers are similar to okra/ mallow blooms emerging as pale cream, deepening to lemon and then transitioning to pink. You'll want to go and check daily to watch the changes.

Needing a long warm season, the red burrs begin to form in late summer then dry till eventually unveiling the soft white cotton bolls inside.

Growing: Plant height bushy 75x45cm

Sow seeds in early spring under cover or use a heat mat 2-3 weeks before the last frost.
