Rare Limited Heirloom Open-pollinated

If you struggle growing eggplants, then this one is for you. Heavy production of 5-8cm round ball-shaped shiny purple fruits mature quickly beginning early in the season and even continuing production through a mild winter in a protected location. Culinary uses they are excellent for are stir-fries, curries, and grilling in Thai or Indian cuisines.

Sowing: Eggplant seeds benefit from bottom heat and germinate quickly in warm soil. Start seeds late winter to early spring in trays with moisture retentive, well-draining soil and keep damp not wet. Cover seeds with 5mm of soil. Cover seed trays to hold the humidity and warmth in. Germination occurs at 24-29C. Remove cover once sprouts are up.

Once planted keep well hydrated. The plant size is 50-90cm, perfect for containers.
